THE MAGICIAN
vor ein paar monaten ist stephen fasano aus dem aeroplane entstiegen und fliegt seither solo style als the magician quer durch alle möglichen geflide, um am kommenden samstag in basels lustigem partykeller eine zaubershow hinzulegen. die magazin hat stephen für ein kurzes interview getroffen.
die magazin: hey there stephen. whats your current frequent flyer status?
stephen: star alliance gold, senator miles and more lufthansa.
die magazin: whats up with that suit of yours?
stephen: my girlfriend and me designed it. then a belgian label made it.
die magazin:Â do you spend a lot of time trimming your beard? it often looks very neat.
stephen: i don’t have too much problems with the trimming. two times a week is ok.
die magazin: what’s going on in the studio these days?
stephen: I’m currently working on my first ep. you can expect something between early piano italohouse music, 80′s britpop and new beat. I don’t have a release date yet but I hope that it will be before spring next year. till then, I have 3 remixes coming up, the aikiu – the red kiss, beni – bubbles and lykke li – i follow.
I also have a side project with yuksek, we made 3 tracks last week at his studio. i’m gonna try them this weekend for the first time!
die magazin: what have been the best moments as the magician so far?
stephen: when I played for the first time in my city – brussels. it was at libertine supersport. I really enjoyed chile as well.
die magazin:Â which famous magician would you like to meet?
stephen: merlin.
die magazin: what’s your favourite champagne?
stephen: ruinart brut rosé.
